On May 29, 2023, on the eve of World Asthma and Allergy Day, the International Scientific and Practical Seminar “Asthma and Allergy: From Innovations to Practice” was held at Samarkand State Medical University. The event was organized by the Departments of Internal Medicine No. 1 and Phthisiology and Pulmonology of SamSTU. 

Leading specialists in the field of allergology and immunology were invited to the international seminar in collaboration with the International Center for Molecular Allergology, including Ella Churikina (Rostov-on-Don, Russian Federation), Qimbatkul Osmonboeva (Karakol, Kyrgyz Republic), Gulnora Dzhambekova (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan). 

At the opening ceremony, Shukhrat Ziyadullaev, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations of SamSTU, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1, Doctor of Medical Sciences, made an introductory speech and emphasized the relevance and importance of the seminar.

The seminar discussed the basics of the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, recommendations for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of various forms of asthma and allergies, and also provided an extensive exchange of experience between specialists on the introduction of industry innovations into practical healthcare.
